Summary
This is the site of a medieval settlement that was revealed during fieldwalking. Fragments of Roman pottery and roof tile and fragments of pottery dating from the Middle Saxon to the post medieval periods have been found on the site.

Full description
Winter 1984 to 1985. Hales site 159.
Fieldwalking on sloping field, ploughed surface. Upper 50m light soil, few finds; lower 100m dark soil with much more pottery.
1 worked flint.
1 sherd Roman micaceous greyware; 3 bases greyware Roman?; 1 tegula.
1 rim sandy Ipswich.
1 rim early medieval in Thetford form.
107 medieval unglazed.
8 medieval glazed.
46 late medieval/early post medieval.
18 glazed red earthenware.
6 post medieval stoneware.
3 late stoneware.
2 flower pot, 1 18th/19th century glazed.
1 lava, 1 hone.
