Formerly a Public House, this is a much altered 17th century two storey red brick building, L-shaped in plan with a pantile roof. It has a three window bay onto Back Street and a brick arch with battlements over the Bar Lane entrance.

Full description

July 1983. Listed, Grade II.
Formerly the Greyhound public house.
17th century much altered. Red brick and pantiles, two storeys, L shaped. Three window façade to Back Street. Dentilled cornice. Brick arch over entrance to Bar Lane, with battlements. Large brick fireplace with oak bressumer; chamfered beam with ogee stops and butt purlin roof. Rear range with heavy beams and closely spaced floor joists. Late 19th century public house screens, doors and so on remain intact.
