Summary
In 1983, during metal detection at this location, a thick scatter of worked flints was discovered. A variety of forms were recovered from the scatter and they were tentatively dated to the Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age. In addition to these finds four sherds of medieval pottery were retrieved.

Full description
May-June 1983. Found immediately east of wood. Found on surface while metal detecting (but no metal work found).
Thick scatter, over area about 100m diameter of worked flint.
Sample of dozens recovered including end scraper on blade.
Mostly broad flakes with odd amorphous retouched pieces.
Probably Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age but a bit amorphous really.
Four sherds medieval pottery.
