Summary

This is the possible site of a small medieval settlement that had been abandoned by the late medieval to early post medieval period. Fieldwalking has recovered prehistoric flints, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery and other finds. Metal-detecting in 2018 recovered a medieval silver coin brooch.

Context 1. Surface finds in fieldwalking.
Flint scraper.
2 flint tools.
1 eroded Samian sherd?
48 medieval coarse sherds.
4 late medieval/Post medieval sherds.
1 malting kiln flue tile.
4 post medieval tiles.
Iron bar.
