Summary

Metal detecting in 1979 recovered a 13th or 14th century seal with the motto FRANGE LEGO TEGO; Break the seal, I read, I hold. In 1987 two large Neolithic flint blade flakes and a fabricator were also recovered from this area, in marl heaps.

Full description

Autumn 1979. Found with metal detector at 6 inches (15cm) deep.
Bronze pointed-oval seal, late 13th/14th century. Central device of bird with outstretched wings, and reads: + FRANGE LEGO TEGO (Break the seal, I read, I hold). [1]
