In 1954 a timber from a ship was supposedly found near the present cemetery. It was suggested that this timber belonged to a Bronze Age boat.

3 May 1954.
THWART(?) Timber, rectangular with an oval hole at each end. Supposed to have been found near the present cemetery (476 105?). Really in Norfolk?

This is on display as Bronze Age.
