Summary

The site of a windmill, marked on a map of 1797. It was reportedly damaged by fire in 1896 and no trace of it remains today, the area being partly built over. The miller's cottages remain nearby, and date to the early 18th century (NHER 46600).

Full description

Site or remains of 18th century post wind mill.
Site only; no trace of wind mill now, modern houses cover part of site, and ruined brick sheds.

Last recorded as 'wind and steam' in 1896.

A windmill in North Walsham was damaged by fire in 1896. Which is not specified but perhaps this site is the most probable as a reference to it in 1896 is mentioned.
