Full description

1976.
Cropmarks of enclosures and ring ditch.
Greatly extended to west, impinging into Antingham parish, by many enclosure cropmarks; some are of recently removed field boundaries but others are small enclosures, linear marks etc of earlier date.
E. Rose (NAU), 15 August 1983.

1990.
Area of cropmarks in Antingham parish even more extended: rectangles and trackways.
D. Edwards (NAU), 17 December 1990.

Date unknown. British Gas air photography.
Cropmarks. Linear features/trackway and enclosures.
D. Edwards (NLA), 30 November 1994.

15 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Site extended to south to include ring ditch, and further enclosures and linears.
S. Massey (NLA), 18 October 2001.

19 July 1996. NLA air photography.
NGR amended from TG2660 3165.
Two relatively small enclosures and linear cropmarks to the south of the A149.
The linear features are likely to be field boundaries.
The innermost enclosure appears to be sub-rounded or D-shaped with two possible breaks or 'entrances' in the ditch.
To the south is a possible angled segment of ditch or a partially preserved square enclosure (not very distinct).
M. Brennand (NLA), 22 August 2001.

November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn pipeline plot 38 and 36.
The geophysical survey detected a linear anomalies that probably represent former field boundaries and could be associated with boundaries shown on the 1838 tithe map and 1885 ordnance survey map. Fieldwalking recovered a flint blade, seven flint flakes, Roman pottery, medieval and post-medieval pottery, six pieces of post-medieval bottle glass, medieval and post-medieval ceramic building material. The metal detecting survey found 10 metal objects including a post-medieval copper alloy bar.
