Summary

Archaeological evaluations were undertaken at this location in 2002. Test pits produced evidence relating to the construction of the wall and to the destruction of a number of 18th century cottages known to have adjoined the wall. A small number of post medieval finds were also recovered.

September-October 2002. Test Pitting.
Nine test pits excavated against Norwich city wall. Contexts 1-32.
Produced evidence relating to the construction of the wall and to the destruction of a number of 18th century cottages known to have adjoined the wall.
Small number of post-medieval finds recovered.
