Name:Site of Roman settlement and multi-period finds

Summary

A concentration of Roman pottery, coins and metal finds has been recovered from this site during fieldwalking and metal detecting, suggesting that this was the site of a Roman settlement. Roman finds include brooches, rings and a silver leopard's head from a large vessel. Prehistoric flints, Early Saxon pottery, Middle or Late Saxon tweezers, and medieval and post medieval coins, pottery and metal finds have also been recovered.
