Summary
Two identical early 19th century lodges that are linked by railings, piers and gates. They are built of yellow brick with limestone and stucco dressings, rounded windows, pedimented gables and a slate roof.

Full description
June 1978. Field Observation.
Two yellow brick lodges with rounded window openings on pilasters to the road, recessed porches with pairs of Tuscan columns to the drive, and stone dentilled cornices. The lodges are connected by wrought iron screens to brick pillars between which are large iron gates decorated with coats of arms. They were probably built with the house in 1756 (but see below).

1984. Correction.
The 1984 listing dates the lodges as early 19th century (S1). This has been confirmed by [1]. The park was not extended to the road until the late 1820s.

The lodges have limestone and stucco dressings, pedimented gables and a slate roof.
