Summary

Fieldwalking has recovered prehistoric worked flints, a 4th century Roman coin and Roman and medieval pottery while a Roman quern and two post medieval German jettons were found during farming on the field. Metal-detecting between 2007 and 2012 recovered several Roman, medieval and post medieval objects including Roman coins.

The cropmarks previously recorded under this number are now NHER 49319 (ring ditch) and 49324-5 (enclosures).

Southern area, centred on 3845 2075 - limits not strictly defined - is context 1 .
Producing late medieval to early post medieval and other medieval sherds; lead glazed earthenware sherds; post medieval glazed tile, copper alloy 16th century buckle.
