Full description

1962. Found on field.
Polished flint axehead.
See (S1).
R.R. Clarke (NCM).

This item is in a catalogue of the Reeve Collection at Banham around 1980, but this museum is now dispersed.
E. Rose (NAU), 13 January 1986.

Axe returned to finder.
E. Rose (NAU), 17 January, 1986.

Another 'Neolithic axe' found at East Harling is noted in the museum catalogues found by Mr Reeve himself, and an axe from Great Ellingham found by a Mr Roberts - no reference to these finders in NAU index, and judging by some of the other entries, these finds may not be genuine, so are not given county numbers unless objects are seen.
E. Rose (NAU), 13 January 1986.

For these items now see NHER 22433, 22434, 22435, 22436 and 13817.
E. Rose (NAU), 18 April 1986.
