Summary

Metal detecting in 2006 and 2007 recovered Iron Age, Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval finds, including an Iron Age harness fitting, a Roman figurine in the shape of a bird and Middle Saxon tweezers. The number and type of artefacts recovered appear to suggest that this was a settlement site in the Roman period and possibly the middle Saxon period.
