Summary

The number of Early Saxon objects recovered during metal detecting suggests that this is the site of an Early Saxon inhumation cemetery. Neolithic flint flakes, a Late Bronze Age socketed axe, a Roman coin, Roman brooches and a lead pattern or model for the manufacture of brooches, a Middle or Late Saxon hooked tag, and medieval and post medieval metal finds have also been found on the site.
