Summary

In 2005 metal detectorists found Bronze Age, Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval finds. They include a fragment of a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, Roman coins, a Roman hair pin, a Roman brooch, part of an Early Saxon brooch, a medieval ampulla and a 17th century horse harness mount.

Full description

August-September 2005. metal-detecting.
1 Late Bronze Age socketed axe fragment (S1).
9 Roman coins, 1 hair pin, 1 vessel fragment, 1 unidentified object fragment and 1 brooch (dolphin-type).
1 ?Roman furniture fitting.
1 Early Saxon cruciform brooch fragment.
1 medieval coin, 1 horse harness stud and 1 lead ampulla.
1 medievla/post-medieval vessel rim fragmant.
2 post-medieval coins, 1 horse harness mount, 1 lead cloth seal, 1 finger ring and 1 lead weight.
1 undated metalworking scrap fragment.
