Summary

Metal-detecting between 2004 and 2017 recovered prehistoric worked flint, including an Early Neolithic end scraper, Roman pottery sherds, and Roman, Late Saxon and post-medieval coins as well as a variety of other Roman, Early Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a fragment of an Arabic coin, a Romano-British key handle, an Early Saxon brooch, Late Saxon and post-medieval buckles, a fragment of a medieval sword scabbard chape, and a late 17th to 18th century toy cannon.

Eleven sherds of Roman greyware, very abraded, including large jar rim and ?jar rim (weight 103g).
