Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2016 recovered a prehistoric flint blade and core; a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint scraper; Roman pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval jetton; a post-medieval token and undated and Roman to post-medieval periods metal objects. These metal finds include an undated copper alloy ring; Roman brooches, a cosmetic mortar, part of a bracelet, copper alloy nail and a fragment of pin shaft; an Early Saxon brooch; a Middle Saxon strap end; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval lead weights, a casket key, lead pot mend and furniture fitting or sword belt fitting; a medieval/post-medieval lead weight and post-medieval hooked spur leather attachment and sword belt hangar.
