Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2019 recovered Roman, Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins, including a dispersed Middle Saxon hoard of 20 sceattas; medieval tokens and jettons and Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an Iron Age brooch; an Iron Age/Roman pin and brooch; Roman brooches and a copper alloy nail; an Early Saxon brooch fragment; a Middle Saxon hooked tag; Middle to Late Saxon strap-ends; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval thimble, spur, and scabbard chape; a medieval/post-medieval cloth seal, harbick and a 17th century gold pendant, decorated with enamel and a garnet.
