Summary

Metal detecting on the site has produced metalwork finds dating from the Bronze Age through to the post medieval period. Iron Age coins, a possible Roman coin hoard, and evidence of 3rd century imitative coin production have been recovered. Prehistoric flint artefacts including scrapers, flakes and an Early Neolithic laurel leaf have also been found.

1 Mesolithic/?Early Neolithic flint ?adze/axe (made on long narrow, high-backed flake. Sharpened with tranchet blow and with signs of ancient use wear).
