Summary

Metal detecting recovered a wide variety of finds dating from the Bronze Age to the post medieval period. These include a Middle Bronze Age spearhead, a piece of Late Bronze Age ring money, two Roman brooches, an Early Saxon cruciform brooch, an Early or Middle Saxon buckle frame, a 9th century strap end, a Late Saxon finger ring and part of an unusual medieval buckle. Roman coins, medieval coins and tokens were also found. The ring money had a copper alloy core but was covered with gold foil.
