A barbed and tanged arrowhead, dating to the Late Neolithic or the early Bronze Age, Roman coins, broochs and other metalwork, including a pair of tweezers which date to the Roman or the Early Saxon period, and medieval and post medieval coins, tokens and other metalwork.

Full description

December 1997/January 1998. Metal detecting finds.
2 post medieval coins.
Late 14th/early 15th century strap end with hinged loop. Made from piece of copper alloy strip folded in half and secured by 2 copper alloy rivets (one missing). Upper plate has border of oblique nicks. There are recesses cut at the fold to accommodate the hinged loop, a cast plate with a flat reverse, a central hole, decoration of punched circles and crescents. Terminal of the plate is an animal head knop pierced at right angles to rest of plate, probably a book fastener. See (S1).
