Metal detecting in this area during 1997 recovered various metal finds, including nine Roman coins, two Roman brooches, an Early Saxon brooch, a medieval harness pendant decorated with the arms of of the De Bohun family and a lead seal matrix.

1997. Metal detecting.
Two Roman Colchester derivative brooches. Identifed by D.Mackreth, December 1997.
Roman furniture or box knob.
Nine 1st to 4th century AD coins.

Early Saxon late 5th/6th century small long brooch.
Medieval lead seal matrix (S3), two bronze buckles, coin weight, brooch, two buckle plates, harness or strap stud, harness pendant.
