Full description

April/May 1996. Metal detecting in odd shaped field.
2 medieval and 2 post medieval coins.

Identified by J. Davies (NCM).
Possibble lead counter, medieval. Roughly made with equal-armed cross in relief on one face. Diameter 11.5-14mm.
Identified A. Rogerson (NLA).
Half a medieval copper alloy sheet buckle plate. 2 rivets. Circular hole in centre.
Trapezoidal medieval copper alloy buckle frame, narrowing for pin loop in central bar. Groove for pin rest. White metal coated.
Almost square medieval belt mount, off-centre dome pierced by hole. See (S1).
Fragment of 16th century hooked tag, rose in relief, hook and loop missing.
Possible Roman mount fragment. Very worn. A curving inner edge. 4 diagonal short grooves. Iron rivet.
