Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking during 1992-94 recovered many finds dating from the Roman, Saxon and medieval periods. These included a Roman brooch, a possible Early Saxon ring, a 13th century pair of tweezers or page holder and a Scottish coin of James III. Other Roman, medieval and post medieval coins were also found.

Medieval bronze circular seal matrix, pierced trefoil handle, with star for orientation. Crowned 'M' with tendril on each side ending in trefoil made of three pellets just below crown. Lovely. Another trefoil above crown.
