Summary

Metal-detecting and fieldwalking from 1990-2009 recovered a range of finds dating from the Early Neolithic to the post-medieval period. These included a fragment of a Late Bronze Age axe, a Roman silver harness or belt fitting and spoon, an Early Saxon girdle hanger, a Middle-Late Saxon coin, two 9th century strap ends with animal head terminals, a Viking weight, a Late Saxon brooch, a medieval silver penny and a post-medieval silver gilt hooked tag. Fragments of Iron Age, Roman, Saxon and medieval pottery were also found.
