Summary

Metal detecting recovered a large number of Iron Age, Roman and medieval finds. These include a Celtic-style head, Iron Age and Roman brooches including a Double Dolphin Roman brooch. Iron Age and Roman coins have also been found. Roman and medieval pottery has also been recorded. These finds and those from nearby sites suggests this was an area of intense activity during the Late Iron Age and Roman periods. The medieval finds suggests this was an area of settlement during this period.
