Summary

An undated archaeological feature was seen in a hole dug for a swimming pool at Manor Farm. Fragments of Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery were found in the hole.

Full description

1963. Garden of Top Farm (=Manor Farm) while making swimming pool.
16th century glazed sherds found about 46cm (18 inches) deep.
Late Saxon to Medieval black unglazed sherds at 75cm (2 feet 6 inches) and beige sherd.
Outline of clay on two sides 90cm (3 feet) x 90cm (3 feet).
