1975 or before. Ordnance Survey air photograph.
Cropmarks of moated site = Context 1 centred on grid reference.

1987 to 1989. Metal detecting. Over cropmark and rest of field. Context 2.
Three Roman coins. See coin list in file.
Two bronze pins or tongues from buckles with moulded collars. 14th century.
Gilt bronze rectangular buckle plate with five rivet holes, medieval.
D shaped bronze buckle, bar missing, cast decoration on frame, 13th century.
Shoe buckle, 16th century, bronze.

January 2017. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of excavation of open cut pipe trench (Trench 1).
This trench revealed no archaeologically significant features or deposits. The majority of the trench had been heavily disturbed by modern services. The lowest deposit exposed was a dark grey alluvial silt.
No finds were recovered.
