Summary

Metal-detecting in 2006 and again in 2011 recovered a range of objects, including a prehistoric flint flake; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and pottery sherds; a Roman brooch; medieval dress accessories, seal matrices, an elaborate brooch, a swivel for a leash, a pot mend, book clasp and lead pilgrim bottle and post-medieval buckles, a book clasp, incomplete clapper bell, lead window came fragments and lead weights.

July-August 2006. Metal-detecting.
1 Late Prehistoric flint flake (unmodified).
1 ?Late Saxon/medieval scale pan balance.
2 medieval coins, 18 pottery sherds (8 unglazed, 2 unglazed Grimston, 8 glazed Grimston), 1 gilt buckle plate fragment, 1 lead pot-mend, 1 strap-end, 1 strap-plate fragment, 1 lead ampulla, 2 lead seal matrix's, 1 annular brooch, 1 buckle frame, 1 pair of tweezers and 1 fragment of ?buckle frame.
6 medieval/post-medieval fragments of unidentified objects/sheet scrap and 1 buckle frame fragment.
2 post-medieval jettons, 3 pottery sherds (GRE), 1 buckle frame, 1 button, 3 lead window came fragments, 9 lead weights and 1 lead bird feeder.

5 medieval coins, 1 pottery sherd (unglazed), 1 horse harness suspension mount, 1 composite three-part strap-end fragment, 1 composite three-part strap end, 1 buckle, 1 strap-end fragment, 1 strap end bar mount, 1 buckle frame fragment and 1 belt mount.
2 medieval/post-medieval paper-clip rivets.
2 post-medieval pottery sherds (GRE), 4 buckle frames (inc. 1 tinned) and 1 lead weight.
4 undatable lead weights.
