Summary

This marshman's cottage was built around 1800 to serve Black Mill (NHER 8603) of red brick laid in Flemish bond. There are also attached outbuildings of irregular flint construction with brick dressings, including former horse stalls and a toilet. The garden wall is of red brick in Flemish bond, with bull-nosed brick coping bricks.
