Name:Tower Farm Barn and south sheds

Summary

A 17th or 18th century barn built of galletted carstone with brick dressings. The barn has a central extended porch and a 19th century braced kingpost roof. The cattle shelter dates to the 19th century, and is also built of carstone and brick.

Full description

Barn, possibly late 17th century, more probably 18th, of somewhat unusual plan, 19th century additions and alterations. Attached wall and 19th century cattle sheds, stated in (S1) to have reused medieval masonry but this not found. Possible confusion with site NHER 35377 which has separate NHER number as it is not listed. For the farmhouse formerly associated see NHER 41101.
