Summary

Metal-detecting between 2004 and 2019 recovered a prehistoric flint flake; Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval/post-medieval jetton and Roman and Early Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include Roman brooches, a strap fitting, and a bracelet fragment; Early Saxon brooches; a Middle-Late Saxon pin; a Late Saxon openwork strap end; Late Saxon to post-medieval lead weights; medieval harness pendants, scabbard chapes, seal matrices, a lead pot mend and harness mount; a medieval/post-medieval purse bar fragment and copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval hooked book clasp, buckle, white metal bell and lion's head collar from a vessel handle.

1 Prehistoric flint retouched flake.
2 Roman pottery sherds (greyware).
1 medieval buckle frame.
1 post-medieval book mount, 1 whittle-tang knife shoulder bolster, 1 grey alloy clapper bell fragment, 1 seal matrix and 1 furniture ?binding.
