A Bronze Age midrib copper alloy dagger was found on Manor Farm sometime before 1929. The dagger is now held by Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography.

Full description

From Manor Farm near boundary of Hilgay parish found by late owner's father, not in fenland.
Bronze midrib dagger (168mm long).
Appears in British Association Catalogue (Drawn by L. F. Chitty in 1929 - see file).
Held by Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography.

Manor Farm house is 'Manor House' on 6in Ordnance Survey in Southery village - the lands extended to Hilgay. Demolished: land sold 1979 to Kisbee Farms Ltd.
