Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2017 recovered Iron Age, Roman, Late Saxon and medieval coins, medieval jettons, and Roman, Middle to Late Saxon, and medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman brooch; a Middle to Late Saxon hooked tag; a Late Saxon Anglo-Scandinavian strap-end; medieval horse harness pendants, a bell, buckle plate, strap fitting and part of a monumental brass.

Full description

October-November 2003. Metal-detecting. Location [1].
Middle Saxon/Late Saxon copper alloy hooked tag with central perforation within three concentric circles, the outer pair framing five small concentric perforated ring-and-dots and two large upper perforations for attachment, hook partly straightened out, 11 by 19mm. Compare with Middle Harling, 1995, figure 39, numbers 36 to 37.
