Summary

Metal-detecting in 2003 and 2014 recovered Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins as well as Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a remarkable Roman miniature palstave and a copper alloy stud; a Late Saxon stirrup strap mount; an unusual Late Saxon/medieval strap-end; medieval dress accessories, a horse harness mount and a fragment of chafing dish; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment and a cannon (suspension loop) from a bell and a post-medieval weight, clapper bell fragment and harness mount.
