Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2014 recovered a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age scraper; undated pottery sherds; Middle Iron Age, Roman, Middle Saxon and medieval coins and undated, Middle Bronze Age and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated casting waste; a Middle Bronze Age pin, Roman brooches; a late Roman/Early Saxon strap-end, Early Saxon brooches and a sleeve clasp; Middle Saxon tweezers; a Middle/Late Saxon Trewhiddle style strap-end; a Late Saxon penannular strap-end and finger ring or earring; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval ampulla, papal bulla, buckle pin, weight, furniture fitting and harness fittings; a medieval/post-medieval thimble and a post-medieval scabbard chape and the head of an early 17th century silver head-dress pin.

May-June 2003. Metal-detecting.
1 Late Bronze Age disk/ring headed pin.
1 medieval lead papal bulla (of Honorius III).
1 post-medieval scabbard chape and 1 silver head-dress pin.

The joining head of the intially incomplete post-medieval silver head-dress pin was found in June 2005 - see below.
