Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 2003 recovered a prehistoric flint flake, a medieval coin, buckle and ring. A post medieval buckle, cloth seal and ring were also found here.

Full description

February 2003. Metal-detecting. Three fields containing NHER 23782, 24930, 33860 and 35837.
1 prehistoric flint flake.
2 medieval coins, 1 ?spur buckle (gilt), 1 lead weight, 1 lead pot mend, 1 ?spur buckle (gilt) and 1 lead spindle whorl.
2 medieval/post-medieval buckle frames, 1 ring, 1 lead weight and 2 lead trade weights.
1 ?medieval/post-medieval vessel repair.
1 post-medieval jetton, 1 pottery sherd (GRE), 1 drop-handle, 1 crotal bell fragment, 1 lead cloth seal and 1 cauldron foot.
1 undated tinned tweezer fragment.
