Summary

Metal detecting in 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2010 recovered a range of objects dating from the Mesolithic to the post-medieval period. These finds include a Mesolithic or Early Neolithic flaked flint axehead, Roman objects, a Late Saxon buckle frame, medieval and post-medieval metalwork objects, coins and pottery.

January - February 2001. Metal detecting. North part of field.
Two Roman coins.
One post medieval jetton.

1 Mesolithic/Early Neolithic flaked flint axe.
1 Roman furniture stud.
6 medieval pottery sherd. 1 horse harness suspension mount, 2 buckle frames and 1 lead weight.
1 ?medieval weight.
1 medieval/post medieval pottery sherd, 1 lead weight and 1 copper alloy vessel foot.
1 post-medieval coin, 2 jettons , 1 buckle frame, 1 cloth seal and 4 lead weights.
