Full description

1995-1998. Metal detecting.
Finds of many periods.
Roman settlement indicated by coins, pottery and metalwork, with some evidence for the production of barbarous radiates.
An early Anglo-Saxon inhumation cemetery is suggested by the numbers of finds (about fifteen) (S2 and S3).
Middle Saxon coins, pot sherds and metalwork (S4 and S5), also probably derives from settlement.
The Late Saxon period is represented by coins and metalwork (S6), but only a single sherd was reported.
