Summary

Metal-detecting between 1998 and 2009 recovered a late Prehistoric flint scraper and Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins as well as metal objects dating from the Bronze Age to post-medieval periods. Metal finds included part of a Bronze Age axehead; a Bronze Age awl; Iron Age, Roman and Early Saxon brooches; a Late Saxon hooked tag; medieval dress accessories, keys and a vessel repair patch; a medieval/post-medieval lead cloth seal and post medieval book clasps, thimble, buckles and mounts.
