Summary

Metal-detecting and fieldwalking between 1998 and 2009 recovered prehistoric, Roman, Saxon, medieval, post-medieval and undated objects. The prehistoric artefacts include burnt flints, worked flints, probable Bronze Age pottery and Bronze Age metalwork (axeheads, rapiers, an awl, a chisel and a spearhead). The other finds include Roman brooches, part of a Late Saxon stirrup, Roman, Late Saxon and medieval pottery and coins, a medieval lead brooch and medieval jettons and tokens.
