Summary

Metal detecting at this location during the period 1997-2001 recovered a diverse range of metal objects. The most interesting find comprised an Iron Age bucket mount in the form of a dove with previously inlaid eye sockets. In addition to this find were coins dating from the Roman to post medieval period, Roman and Iron Age brooches and post medieval jettons.

November 1997. Metal detecting finds.
Iron Age bucket mount in the form of a dove, with previously inlaid eye sockets. Identified by A. West (NCM) November 1997.
