Metal detecting between 1996 and 2008 has recovered a large number of objects, dating from the Bronze Age to the post medieval period. This includes a large number of coins from the Roman, medieval and post medieval periods, a Bronze Age awl, Roman cosmetic implements, and a Saxon buckle and spoon.

November 1998. Metal detecting.
H. M. Geake (NCM), identified the following:
Early post medieval end-cap from a knife. It looks like a penguin: a thick oval of cast copper alloy with a moulded lozenge on top. The sides have longitudinal grooves and the reverse is hollow to hold the knife tang. Remains of iron rivet driven through lozenge .
Eighteen coins cound at same time. No details.
