November/December 1995. Metal detecting finds.

Identified by J. Davies (NCM).
Probably Middle Saxon strap end, no decoration apparent, very worn, tapering to pointed terminal (no sign of animal head). Polaroid NCM.
Lead object - intriguingly like a Early Saxon brooch, (S1).

D-shaped medieval buckle frame with chamfered edges, transverse ridge on pin near loop.
Oval buckle frame with pin, plate with 2 rivet holes, gilded and with border of rocker-arm engraving, medieval.
