Summary

Extensive metal detecting in this area during 1995-2005 recovered a diverse range of multi-period objects, pottery sherds and coins. Finds of note included a post medieval hooked tag with relief leaf decoration, a Late Saxon Thor's silver hammer amulet, a Late Saxon or earlier comb bone handle, a Charles I 4oz lead weight, a fragment of a Roman silver bracelet, a very special Middle Saxon/Late Saxon prick spur and a post medieval book clasp.

Early post medieval hooked tag with relief leaf decoration.

Late Saxon or earlier comb bone handle (S2), (See for comparison North Elmham Park combs). One most like it from Sedgeford TF 73 NW/13 and 21, No.1607.
