Summary

Metal-detecting in 1994 recovered a Roman coin as well as Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman patera handle; a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount; a medieval escutcheon for a vessel handle and a possible vessel spout and a post-medieval stud.

1994. Metal detector finds. [1]
1 Roman coin and a patera handle fragment, mid 1st century.

11th century box mount, base of quadruped type. Hole in flange. This find was reidentified as a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount by D. Williams in 1997, see Monograph (S4).
Medieval ?from spout of vessel.
?Medieval vessel escutcheon for handle (?).
Early post-medieval stud.
