Summary

Metal detecting in this area here between 1994 and 2017 recovered a Mesolithic/Early Neolithic flint tranchet axehead; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and a number of other metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman brooch; a medieval horse-harness fragment; a medieval/post-medieval coin weight, chafing dish and possible cauldron fragments and a post-medieval strap end and tap fragment.
