Summary

Prehistoric flints and fragments of pottery dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval periods found during fieldwalking. Metal-detecting between 2010 and 2012 recovered Late Prehistoric flint flakes and a borer; medieval pottery sherds; a Roman coin and Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Saxon harness link; medieval seal matrices, a thimble, buckle and lead weights; a medieval/post-medieval monumental brass and a post-medieval sword belt, button, weight, cufflink, buckle and crotal bell.
