Summary

Fieldwalking and metal-detecting between 1993 and 2016 recovered prehistoric worked flints, including a Mesolithic flake, Neolithic scrapers and a Neolithic/Bronze Age scraper, retouched flake and flake; Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; post-medieval roof tile fragments; Roman and medieval coins; post-medieval tokens and Late Bronze Age to Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Bronze Age tanged two-edged knife; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; medieval buckles, a probable pin head and gilt copper alloy unidentified object; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval lead weight and spur side.

'Crinkly' surface, better weathered on second date, with winter bean crop already well shot and rather loosely sown.
